BitTorrent for Mac OS
BitTorrent is a file-sharing protocol that lets you download content directly from other groups of people. To download, you need to install a BitTorrent client such as BitTorrent or Transmission. Its advantage over plain HTTP is that when multiple downloads of the same file happen concurrently, the downloaders upload to each other, making it possible for the file source to support very large numbers of downloaders with only a modest increase in its load.

- Create a folder that can contain all of your torrent files. Because the websites that you upload your files to will refer to this folder, you should not change any of the properties of this folder.
- Click on "File">"Make New Torrent". Then, click on "Choose File..." if you are adding a single file or "Choose folder..." if you are adding a folder. Browse to the file or folder you want to upload.
- Fill in the title, comments, and tracker for this torrent. Then, click "Publish" and BitTorrent will save the torrent file or folder.

- If you are ready to begin seeding (allowing others to download your file) click "seed." In order for others to view your torrent, you will need to upload your seeded file to one of the torrent websites.
